Default Rear bumper repair

Hi. After 6 weeks of owning a 991 4s convertible someone drove in standing traffic on my rear bumper, caused some dents and scratches, damaged the license plate light and the backup camera display shows a weird glare, which might be from the license plate light that was damaged.
Thankfully the other driver had insurance. My problem is if a insurance claim is filed, the repair will go on the carfax vehicle history and this will likely reduce the resell value of the car. How can I demonstrate to the insurance company of the the other drive that I will have a value reduction because of the accident and they should pay for that now? Thanks in advance for your help.

Call YOUR insurance agent and ask for an introduction. They have diminished value specialists that will do the work in writing it up for you. These people are independent but your agent will likely know one. Usually they cost ~500$.

You can find diminished value experts on the web. Just google it. Keep in mind that the ability to collect DV varies by state.
