Default Carrera White Metallic Touch-Up Paint

I recently acquired a ‘15 GTS in Carrera White Metallic. I just received my touch up paint from Suncoast, and it actually has three bottles. Metallic White, Standard white and clear.

I was not expecting the bottle of standard white.

I have a Dr. Colorchip set for upper body chips, but bought the factory paint for the numerous chips in the lower area in front of and behind the rear wheels.....those areas have taken a beating. It occurred to me that perhaps Porsche intended that I use the pure white as a base to get better coverage over the black primer, then the metallic, then the clear.

Anyone else?

For the record, it's Carrara.

Your car is a three stage white. Base white, pearl, and clearcoat. Apply the base white let it dry before applying the pearlcoat and let that dry prior to applying the clearcoat. It will be more tedious than than other colors due to the three stage process. Just take your time and it should look fine.

It's probably the most misspelled word in the Porsche lexicon. The name originates from the Carrara Marble of Italy. Considered some of the whitest marble in the world. FYI. Oh, and I'm a crappy speller, but, I got this one.
