Default 4 year service costs $2300..to change plugs? Car has 12k miles

My 2015 GTS has 12k miles on it, just had the PDK replaced under warranty, and an oil change.

The dash screen says service now. Dealer quotes $2300 but there isn't much there that hasn't been done recently. I think changing plugs may be a waste of money. They also said the drive belt could be done.

I think I'll take it to a private shop like Glenn Yee.

Advice?

Definitely check an Indy. Porsche's service prices are crazy.

THIS IS INSANE, I did this service at a high quality Indy shop with spark plugs and oil change etc for 800-900ish

I think even my dealer quoted me around 1200, and that's here in the SF Bay Area where labor prices are higher than many other areas.

I did it myself for about $250 - except plugs which I had done before for about $500-600 maybe?
Plugs aren't hard either, I just have this phobia of cross threading one (old history for me).
You can do the belt/air filters/oil filter / oil change, cabin filters yourself in an afternoon - with 2 left hands. I'm living proof, check the threads on the forum !

DIY (search online on "how to") or take it to a INDY shop. Stealerships are getting bolder by the minute.

Thoughts on using an Indy while car is under CPO warranty? Extended warranty?

Anyone have issues with claims if not dealer serviced?

I had my 4YR service at the Porsche Dealer in Omaha, NE for under $1K. Same for a fellow PCA member with his 991.1. You guys in California are getting ripped off...

Negotiated with my dealer to do plugs, brake flush, engine filters and (since the rear bumper cover was off) serpentine belt for $900. I do the oil changes and frunk/cabin filters.

No need to have it dealer serviced in order to maintain any sort of warranty. Just keep good records and all receipts.

Which brings up a good point., Private shops in So Cal that you like. I'll probably use Glenn Yee Motorsports. He's super close and took good care of my 997. Great guy.

At this point really what I'm doing is the plugs. Fluids were just done.

I’m surprised plugs would need to be changed at 4 yrs with 12k miles. Whatever happened to 100,000-mile plugs? Granted, I wouldn’t go that long, but surely 40-50?
