Works the same way on the 991.2 as on the 991.1. Very simple plug and play (apart from minor trimming of the connector for harness on the light side). Happy to answer any questions as I recently did this change as part of exporting my 991.2 Targa 4 GTS from the US / importing to Europe/Sweden. I also posted a few words an pictures on this in a different thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1222...l#post17111647

Its funny that Americans like the EU lights, and Europeans like the US lights. In my area a lot of the BMW have their front turn signals lighted just like the US models, and also the rear lights painted red.

I’m interested in the export as I’ll move back to Italy in January and I’ll bring my 991.1 c2s with me

I'm sure you can sell your US Spec tail lights for more money there and get EU spec much cheaper. We all want something we can't get. =)

I'd advice against this as the amber rear turn signals are a legal requirement in the EU and hence there ought to be close to zero demand of the US version. That said, if you've owned the car for a very long time there are exceptions for getting it approved with US spec turn signals. But again, no one in the EU would be allowed to mount the US versions...

I have imported a US 992, and trying to convert it to EU standards. I bought EU tail light from Germany and installed the last night. Installation was as simple as plug and play, but it didn’t function as expected!

When I engage the turn signal BOTH the amber and red (break) light will blink.. what’s even worse is when I break BOTH amber and red will light up :”(

how do you think I can fix this!?

Trying to see what is involved to import a 991.2 US spec to Germany. Moving so I get the VAT exemption.

How can one get an exception for changing the tail lights? if moving here? My understanding is TÜV still has to approve it when imported to Germany.

Does anyone know what other changes would need to be made to satisfy TÜV?

also, it’s not so great that my very expensive extended warranty (purchased at US Porsche dealer) will not be usable in Europe...

Can't you get a refund for any unused warranty? I have done so on several other makes over the years.

Perhaps, but I'd want warranty on it somewhere in case something catastrophic happens (engine failure), or if I ship it back to the US.

Is there any way to get porsche warranty while in europe, or have the US warrany honored there or become transferrable / refundable for any work needed?
