Any 991 owners also have a McLaren?
If so, I'm curious what the experience has been like. I've owned 14 Porsches from 1981 911 SC's to 2018 GT3's and I'm really enjoying my 911T right now. But, I would also like to try a new marque and as I live less than 5 miles from a McLaren dealership I'm tempted to try a 570 spider or 650 spider. This would be a weekend car that would see a few track days as well. Just curious what the ownership experience has been like and if you'd recommend it.
Thanks
Jeff

Ive got a 600lt and its currently my favorite modern sportscar I've EVER had. Period. I actually had a gt3rs (991.1) and a 650s spider at the same time last year and literally once the 650s came into the garage, the RS just sat. They are an EPIC blast. If you're going coupe, I HIGHLY suggest the 600lt, but the 650s was a riot of a car too...

I had one. Parked in downtown Chicago. Wine, dinner, a little grappa. Forgot where I parked. Still haven't located it. Oh well.

I believe between my brother and sisters they have 4 or is it 5 Maclarens; single and dual seat models
One was totaled in the driveway by the Honda.

I worked for a very rich man who valet parked his vintage Aston Martin for dinner and then took a car service home after a few drinks (which was responsible). Two weeks later he asked his personal assistant where the Aston Martin was and it took 2 more weeks to locate it, which of course was in the lot for the restaurant where he parked it

A guy in my neighborhood does lol. I just own a 991 and GT4 so I'm definitely beneath him

I stayed at a fancy hotel one time (they upgraded my wife and I to the "Queen Elizabeth suite"-2k a night) but being me, I self-parked. You know, no joy riding my GTI or whatever.
The valet area of that garage was like an auto history museum. All manner of nice cars with thick layers of dust on them. Shocking to me.

I had a 570GT last year, I went from a 991.2 C2S cab to that and had all the GT3s, 911 Turbo S etc. I thought the car was fun but it was more of a novelty that soon wore off. its a great car but my two biggest things were its really low and just the buttons and switches didn't make much sense. I had it for 6 months and it was in there for two weeks for A/C issues and another two weeks for radio issues.
But yeah steering is great, power is amazing and its just smooth..

Jlee - Thanks, Thats the sense I'm getting from the McLaren Life forum as well. The ownership experience isn't what its cracked up to be unless its one of several fun cars you have. If its your go to fun car be prepared for lots of annoyances from constant simple reboots to multi week trips to the shop. I'm not up for that at this point. What did you get to replace it? I also tested the 2019 TTS - great car but it felt too refined.
