Auto Start Stop not working
Hi all!!
My auto start stop wasn’t working and drivers door handle lock button for entry and drive isn’t working either. After reading some threads some suggested that I should change my 3 yr old battery even though the numbers looked fine.
Sooo I did and they still don’t work. Never use start stop......
noticed lock button inop first then tried auto SS which didn’t work. Passenger door button works fine. Anybody have any other ideas? PLEASE HELP!
thanks! 2013 C2S

What do you mean by the stop/start not working? No yellow or green icon showing when stopped, or just always the yellow icon showing it is disabled? Does the coast feature work?

With the start/stop button selected and I stop with foot on the brake....the motor keeps running and then the yellow icon appears with a line through it. No sport or sport plus selected.

That can happen for a variety of reasons, one of which is the AC running and it being hot out.
That doesn't mean it isn't working overall as a feature. When you see the yellow icon, it just means it can't do it -right now-.

I don't know about the auto start/stop (no one uses it anyway), but the lock button probably needs a completely new handle if the battery didn't fix it. It happened in my '13 also.

I’m surprised the new battery didn’t fix it. Had a similar problem on my Merc solution was a new battery.

Derek has your start/stop thing figured out. You're in Arizona and it's probably hot as hell out there so the A/C needs the engine running to keep working so hard. Try starting your car and shutting off your A/C, and when you come to a stop I'm willing to bet the start/stop will work the way you're used to.

Well....as always you guys are awesome! Thanks for helping me solve this. Especially Dereck and class5. First you’re right it’s hotter than hell here in Arizona...... then for making me understand why the A/C has to be off. Duh...makes sense of course.
You guys are the best and thanks for being nice about it! A lot of great people here!
