iOS 13 and CarPlay
Did the upgrade today, not as easy as before. The googles search will show that.
Anyway, different but the same. Some pictures

It's the latest operating system for Apple's iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, etc...). Only in beta now. General availability this Fall. This update will include a significant update to CarPlay which was well overdue. The OP is showing some screenshots from the beta version

Used a little bit more today, more stable than I expected. The interface look prettier, if that matters. Waze worked fine.
I think with a larger screen the Atari interface will look much improved, perhaps even looking like a Nintendo 64! Seems that under the hood it's about the same on the PCM 4 platform.

Honestly the biggest feature for me in the new update is not having the screen change on CarPlay when using the phone. It is infuriating when you have the map or your music/podcast selection screen up and you use the phone at a light to do something else and the CarPlay screen changes and you have to go back and find where you were.
Does the Siri interface still take over the whole screen on CarPlay? That would be another nice change, when you're using Google Maps or Apple Maps or whatever in full screen view, and then want to respond to a text with Siri, it takes over the whole screen so you lose the map. Technically you can work around this with the navigation screen in the gauge cluster, but I don't usually drive with that screen up, and an incremental improvement is still an improvement.
iOS 13 will definitely be a bigger improvement in the Cayenne/Macan/992 with the bigger screens, having side by side apps will be great.

Side by side action. Only the native maps but it gets whatever music app on the bottom right. Nav directions on the top right. That's actually a tangible improvement. Better if it was Waze rather than Apple maps

Just upgraded with iphone 11 pro, love the multi screen that offers from iOs 13, I would also have the garage door status as well. perhaps because I have home automation? Love the feature.
when it got close to home, it shows up an additional block on the screen, just tap it, it opens the garage door.
