Default Delivery Tomorrow

I’m giddy like I was the first time. Except that was a few short weeks ago.

The PPF originally done at the dealer was done poorly. To say the least. So it had to go back. I’ve been without my little blue baby for 12 days.

I get to pick her up again tomorrow. I think I might even be more excited than the first time.

Pics to follow.

Good luck with it. Mine was at the PPF installer for 6 days after it arrived - that was a long 6 days.

And you are awake because?! Get some sleep, get the car and take a drive, then check back in with pics.

What a day. This delivery was as bad as the first.

And the car wasn’t ready. No badges on the back. Good still has a bubble too. Or rather something under the plastic. It’s really quite shocking that it needs to go back. Again. They also didn’t get the ceramic coating put on.

The good news is that I think I prefer it without the badging. It looks super sexy.

Who was doing the wrap - Jack Daniels?

To look for an answer, no need to go further.

Are you sure they even redid the film?

Why get PPF at the dealer instead of a shop that specializes in PPF?

Seems like something is missing. Perhaps something simple there? PORSCHE 911? Super sexy P-Car; hope they sort it out quickly. I would be super frustrated.

Agree. And I was warned by a buddy.

BUT, they apparently partner with a shop.

My AMG GTS had a big rock chip from the test drive. I was hoping to avoid that by getting it done prior to even a minute on the road.

In certain areas, yes.

On the hood, no. In fact certain they didn’t.

Apparently they partner with someone that does specialize in it. At least that’s the story I got.

To each their own.

Right now, I’m liking it this way.

But yes, frustrated with the process. Trying not to sweat the small stuff.

I think this is a good example for people to remember why if you are picky, you have to get film installed by a person that you can actually talk to and explain your expectations/see their work. Not blaming you at all for having them do it, just stating that it is important for others to remember that on a Cayenne that you are going to turn in on lease in 3 years the dealer is fine for clear film (on a lease don't even do it), on your 911 that you are taking out on weekends and to shows take it to an independent guy with a good reputation.
