Adding 2yr CPO worth $3k?
Looking at used 2019 C4, 1000 miles. Dealership offered to CPO for $3k. What is overall thoughts on value on nearly new 911? Would have 5yrs vs 3 yrs of warranty.

You could also check in with Mike; he does the Fidelity warranty, which is not much more expensive and will cover the car for a longer period of time. I bet you could get a 4 year bumper to bumper for about $1k more.

Actually in Canada so only considering the CPO option.

Based on an extra 2 years and small percentage difference in the purchase price of the car, I’d pay the extra $3k for CPO. (I would first try to negotiate it being included n/c, then splitting the difference at $1,500. before agreeing to $3k.)

I've come out on the positive side for sure on my 2014. Do it. I got mine for 2500.

If you are actually going to drive your car....... it's worth it.
If you are only going to drive it on good weather days on months that have a 5th Friday then I would say no.

I’m awaiting delivery on my 3rd CPO car. The things that went wrong (covered under warranty) with the first easily paid for the next two. But, as CSK said, only if you drive the car. (I also leased a 991.1 that needed warranty work as well).
The dealer inspection helps ensure that nobody had a body repair done. I’m told the standards are high and backed/supported/enforced by Porsche. I’ve owned cars where repairs didn’t show up on a carfax (including the entire nose of a car that I wrecked on black ice).
My experience is that buying a two to three year old car lowers the annual depreciation I experienced by 33% over a new car. CPO gives you a better ownership experience. I’ve dealt with three dealerships for warranty work, service has been awesome at all.

yes
I would say yes if your door panels have not been replaced yet otherwise i would spend the money on a fidelity that last longer. Mine saved me 6100. Hood shocks and door cards.

Really depends on how long you plan on keeping it. If you are going to keep for 4 plus years then I think the CPO is definitely worth it. But you could get a Fidelity Platinum warranty for just slightly higher for 5 years of service.

Invest the $3,000 into an aggressive growth mutual fund. Late in year #3 make sure your car is thoroughly inspected before factory warranty expires. Then use proceeds of your mutual fund to pay for any unscheduled maintenance.
