Door panel question
I just installed AWE wind noise deflectors yesterday. Super easy install, had it done in 20 min. I had the door panel off "hidden screw" version.
Anyway now that I am looking at the door panels, I notice that in the center of door along the top/window edge the gap between window and panel is wider than at the edges toward front and rear of door. Both L and R side seems to have same gap, but maybe I missed a fastener on both sides?
Can anyone take a look at there car to see if they are all like this? or did I miss a faster or something? This could be just because the door panel is flat and the window is curved?
I don't have another 991 to compare to, and closest dealer is at least 30 min away. I can post a pic later if this post isn't clear.
Crazy me wants to pull the door panel off again to check, but would rather not if this is all in my head. Having the door panels off, now has me listening for new rattles which is just feeding my OCD in a negative feedback loop.

Do you have pictures? Leather interior or not? I assume it was not like that beforehand?

Full leather, but I don't think that will have an impact on this. I'll take a pic when I get home from work today. It's possible I missed one of the upper fasteners when pushing the panels back into place, but everything seemed to go back together nicely. I don't hear any rattles from door panel I don't think, but I do think my steering column cover could be making a slight creak.

Figured I would update. Pulled drivers door card again yesterday. The gap in middle is how it is supposed to be. While I was in there I noticed the metal clips that hold the side airbag cover on rattle a little. I put some butyl rubber on them and it went away.

bumping this old thread..
Anyone...How long did it take for the dealer to receive the replacement door panels from PORSCHE? My dealer submitted a replacement claim for my door panels under my original factory warranty back in October. We are still waiting for them to arrive. Does it usually take this long ?
