Default 3rd annual mountain drive

What has now become a tradition, my oldest son and I drive the Cherohala Skyway, The Tail of the Dragon and the Devil's Triangle following Memorial Day. This year we had great weather and limited amounts of other cars on the roads. Did not take as many photos as in the past. Spent more time behind the wheel. Highly recommend all three roads to everyone to drive at least once in their life. They are all very different and fantastic at the same time.

I’ve done the Cherohala and the Dragon on a bike many times but looking forward to taking the GTS there.

All great roads, sounds like a fun trip, but did you let him drive?

I did. He is a good driver. He had a good teacher.

He drove half the Cherohala and one run of The Dragon. I drove the Dragon twice. I do not let him drive the Devil’s Triangle. It is an intense road.

I had never heard of the Devil's Triangle, so I looked it up. Looks like a lot of fun.

It is very much so. A Porsche was meant to be driven on it.

I was just up there this past weekend with about 100 other Porsches for the 2nd annual Rennsport Dragon Rally. We drove the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon on Saturday and it ended up in a Porsche block party that was really cool. On Sunday we drove the Moonshiner 28 and Wayah Gap, followed by an airport photo shoot and a late lunch at the gorgeous Tapoco Lodge. It was an awesome weekend, join us next year!

Did you look for your pics from the tent photogs on the Dragon? They do a nice job - see left.
