Highest mileage on SOUL Sport Cats?
What's the highest mileage anyone here has put on their sport cats? How are they holding up? I've done approx. 4k with them and everything seems fine.
Edit: I'm asking because I DD my T and am putting on a lot of miles. I know lots of you guys only drive it on the weekends. Just wondering if it is safe to continue using them.

They use HJS cores which is what pretty much everyone uses in high dollar car applications. The reason for that is HJS cats are pretty much the only ones certified for FIA motorsports use and they can handle 1050degC exhaust temps. More generic cats can only handle like 800-850C temps. HJS does have a lower cost cat which can only handle 950degC. For reference, your typical turbo gas engine has exhaust temps up to 980degC. So think your everday Honda Civic, Ford Focus ST, Kia Optima, Audi A3, etc. Performance gas turbo engines go up to 1050degC. So, like M5, Focus RS, RS3, etc.

Drive with no worries! They're back with our Lifetime Warranty. The cat cores themselves are covered for 3 years, and if they go we will replace them once as long as race gas is not used or physical damage does not occur. They're industry leading for quality and performance so you shouldn't worry about that.
arter, sounds like you're the record holder!

Mike-
Do you consider 100 octane race gas? Is this a problem if ONLY used for track days every now and then?

Sunoco claims that their 100 SS (California) and 260 GT (rest of US) *UNLEADED* 100 Octane Race Fuel "will not harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors", which is a valid statement as the octane level itself without any lead involved should have little effect on the wear and tear of the cats, up to a point I'm sure. That said, we do not have enough experience ourselves or with our customers running this fuel through catalytic converters to state with any certainty that they will last the same as with standard pump gas up to 93 octane, and we cannot leave it to chance that someone could mistake this fuel with a LEADED version of race fuel, therefore our warranty does not cover any "race fuels" or "leaded fuels" from being used on catalytic converters. What will cause catalytic converters to fail without question is any *LEADED* fuels, race or otherwise. Misfires will also cause cats to fail, as will improper tuning. We take the standpoint as a company of recommending only unleaded pump gas up to the standard premium of 93 octane fuel, it is the right thing to do to protect our customers from having any potential issues.

Fun thread by the way, we'll throw a t-shirt in to the guy who has the most track days on the cats and a t shirt to the fellow who has the most mileage on them. No double dipping, so you can't have both and runner up gets the other shirt. That said be sure to post your mileage and the number of track days, as well as a photo/video of your car in action. We'll run this until the end of June and see who comes out on top

3 track days on 4S tires. 4S are not track suitable
Due to drying track, breaking points were earlier than normal and speed not the greatest. This car will easily do sub 2:30 laps.
No issue with O2 sensor nor CEL.
