Is the 991.2 compatible with the iPhone?
 

I know, dumb question, but is the 991.2 compatible with the iPhone? Does the 991.2 have Apple Car Play? If not, how does the system it has compare to Apple Car Play?

CarPlay without iPhone compatibility ... that would be a bit strange ...

CarPlay is standard on the 991.2, but I don't believe wireless CarPlay is supported.

991.2 has carplay....unfortunately not wireless so you need to plug into the Center arm rest.

Certainly compatible with CarPlay.......BUT......don't be surprised if CarPlay refuses to launch for some unknown reason. Extremely annoying!

What are all the Android folks doing? No luck I suppose to use android auto.. need to change headunit?

No Apple play, but works fine with the system.

I just don't use it. Slightly annoying, but really NBD.

yeah same here... definitely a minor annoyance as an android fanboy but not losing any sleep over it
