GTS vs Sports Design Front Bumper
Gents,
I have been considering upgrading to the sports design front bumper for my base 991.2 but I have an opportunity to purchase a used GTS bumper. I cannot tell any visual difference and could not find a thread comparing the two. Can anyone provide some guidance on differences, if any? I assume this bumper will be lower than the base as well; any concern or aero changes? Any concerns with fitment?
The front bumper is really the only thing I don't care for on my car, so I am looking forward to a potential change.

AFAIK the GTS front bumper *is* the SportDesign bumper.

Like BobZ said, that is part of the GTS package. They do nail you pretty hard for the matching Sport Design rear deck lid, though. Ask how I know hahaha

Anyone put a sport bumper on the base? I assume it fits w/ no issues. I may just go for a lip though.

Same here, but it looks better than the stick on one being discussed in another thread. And one can buy the GTS rear lid section with the spoiler and with paint to match it would look just like ours.

Base has the same bumper so it would work although as you said you could just change the lip, and that can be painted as well (ask me how I know).

I bought a new lip (same as what came on my car new) and had Suncoast ship it directly to Eric at Bumperplugs.com, who has painted a lot of parts for me and countless others over the years. He painted it to match and shipped it back to me in the same box when he was done:

It depends on what color car you have. If you have a darker color you may not want it painted but my side skirts and rear valance are also painted so I wanted the car to look complete to me. Some don't want to paint their spoilers if they scrape it a lot and would rather just replace the unpainted lip when it gets real bad. Personally, I have yet to scrape mine and I do not have the FAL option.
