Can GTS directional wheels be rotated??

So I was at Porsche Service a couple days ago for a scheduled oil change, and I asked the service rep if they can rotate my Cup 2 tires left-right, on both front and rear. Look what they did!

They rotated the entire wheel and tire left-right! I didn’t even notice until I was washing my car and just bust out laughing I couldn’t believe they would do this lol! Is it okay to rotate these directional GTS wheels like this? It looks and drives perfectly fine, so if it’s okay, I’ll just leave it. I only have one track day left on my tires so I’ll get them all rotated back on my next new set of tires anyway.

I find this so funny. I would have never thought they would consider rotating the wheels. They’re directional, at least visually! And in hindsight, I recall the service rep scratching his head saying he doesn’t know if the tires can be rotated and that he will ask the repair rep, and I remember telling him, dude, Cup 2 tires are unidirectional of course you can rotate them. I didn’t realize he was talking about the wheels lol.

BIG EDIT:

Whoa hey, this post is totally wrong, but i have a feeling some of the members here don't know this either so I wont erase/edit it. Actually, the GTS wheels, with its 'twisting' spokes is not directional specific to side. it's actually the same wheel design for both sides. both left right wheels have the same shape. so if you look at the left side of your car, the wheel looks as if it is being twisted in a forward direction, but if you look at the right side of your car (picture above) the spokes are actually the same shape as the left, so it actually looks like its being twisted backwards not forwards.

am i the only idiot that didn't realize this? lolol. i thought the wheels were left right directional specific but its not. its the same shape both sides. unless some idiot at the factory only gave me left side wheels for all four haha. can one of you GTS owners check that you also are same as me?

This is the same story that goes back (it may even go back further) to the 993's Turbo Twist Wheels.

Me being weirdly anal about the pseudo-directional GTS (turbo-S) wheel effect is partly why I opted for 5 lug wheels. Having one side look twisted forward and the twisted rearward would bug me.

I think most normal people wouldn’t care. And the twist effect on the wheels is very minor.

Indeed. It’s very minor and it’s difficult to notice if you aren’t aware of it. But now that I’m aware of it, I notice lol. Looks good still on either side so I’m cool with it. Just interesting Porsche trivia I guess :)
