Default Would like 18 way seats for 991.1

I've got 14 way seats in my 991.1 C4S. They're fine, but I prefer the extra bolstering in the 18 ways. I believe they're plug and play, but the problem seems to be finding a set.
Has anyone tried this swap? If so, where did you find the seats? I've tried some of the dismantlers, but no one has them. I don't want new (I assume that cost is quite high).

I'm on the same boat. I don't even mind the 4-way as long as they are sports seats.

I'd be shocked if they were plug and play, but I don't know.

Probably require different wiring harnesses and programming - I’d be amazed if these are plug n play

Does anyone know what used 14 and 18 ways typically trade for? Seems to be a thin market.

I don't see why they wouldn't be plug and play. The harness is just providing power to the seats and airbag sensor/signal/power. The control of the seat is all in the seat itself. What would need to be programmed?

Ventilated vs non-ventilated could be a different harness, but otherwise I'd imagine they are the same.

I don’t know if it applies to the 991, but historically Porsche manufactured their cars with a unique wiring harness for each vehicle. It was certainly the case for 996 and 997 cars. As a result, a new seat that offered more functionality (more power options, seat heating or ventilation, etc.) than the original seat wouldn’t work without modification. Hopefully that’s not the case here.

I've been told by my dealer it's an easy swap.

I'm just trying to figure out what it might cost.

GT3 seats, like the ebay ones above, come up once in a while in the Marketplace here on Rennlist. They all seem to have the embroidered "GT3" in them, so that makes them less desirable for people who wish to swap them into a non-GT3 car.

Looking at the marketplace now - here's a set WITHOUT the GT3 emblem, asking $5500 plus shipping: https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1149520
Hell, maybe I should buy them!

Here's another one, with GT3 stitching for $8K - https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1146164
And another GT3 set for $7500 - https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1123199

They're out there. Patience is a virtue!
