Exactly right. My comments were based on a manual.

This is my concern with adding sport cats. I havent heard one with them in person, so fearful of drone or any raspyness. I havent seen any complaints about this though. I did a cat delete on another turbo car and while I liked the increased noise, my wife didnt like the “notes” it made after no cats.

I’ve heard of the pops and whatnot with pdk. Does that also happen with manual.

I know now you guys say it gets old. But I’m kind of excited for it.

They are absolute cannons with headers/bypass pipes. Easily the best feature of the car.. My best bud calls it a "$10,000.00 feature".

I'll say this for the pops and crackles: it can be useful on the interstate if you come fast behind someone in the left lane and lift off the accelerator. Announces your arrival. But around town, stop light to stop light, not so much. That's the beauty of PSE + SC + MT, the switch and modes give you 6 flavors to choose from.

I like the exhaust note in my 991.2 7MT GTS. I even like the gurgles and pops, although I feel slightly childish when they’re gurgling away.

If I’m passing and sense a car ahead in the lane to my right might not see me, I downshift which produces enough volume to signal my presence. The sport exhaust helps with that.

The pops are really loud compared to last gen. It’s fun(ny) to pass people and let off the throttle...some get mad.

Overall sound is similar inside the cabin, but its more muffled at lower RPMs. Less drone when lugging at cruising speeds, but it definitely has the same flat 6 howl at higher revs. Outside the .1 generation is clearly louder and raspier.

Ive driven plenty of cars and think this one is a good balance of sound that don’t get obnoxious after a while. If you’re looking for a toy that’s loud and scratches the ‘im speed racer’ itch, you might be disappointed. Probability the wrong car for you if that’s your focus....practicality and usability is the strong point.

I was coming back home the other day, shifting with the paddles in Normal with PSE on but without the artificial burbles and I noticed that it does have a “natural” burble on the overrun. Nothing like as loud as the pre-programmed ones but it’s definitely there.

I, too, really like the .2 exhaust (GTS here). There is a large range of options, from relatively quiet and unobtrusive to a lovely howl and bark at high rpm. I think because it’s not “in your face” all the time, when it does let go you appreciate it more...

You will not experience any drone with our Sport Cats, some go with bypass pipes in goals to gain the maximum power, but sacrifice the risk of a bit of in cabin resonance.

991.2 GTS sounds great being a turbo engine, not too much turbo cars sound like this, obviously it is not the sound of an aspirated engine (I own a GT4 too), but for me is really good.

My wife found out about the PSE button, she will switch it off when she realizes it's on.

It's fun to see how long it takes her to turn it off if she isn't paying attention. She loves the car, so all is good.

That's funny! We were out for a few hours today and my wife loves the way it sound when on, probably because a lot of my past sports cars were much louder.
