Default My Seatback Is Slipping Down

My seatback is slipping down. Has anyone else had this problem? What would you recommend? Is this a DIY?

There are only a few tabs on the side and one up top holding that entire center section in place. Mine separated completely but you can relatch it by hand. I was going to apply some velcro while I was in there because it seemed like a flimsy mechanism, but didn't, and it hasn't happened again in over 2 years.

Thanks SMZ and rennlist forums!! After reading SMZ's reply I reevaluated the situation and all I had to do was pull upward on the cushion part and then inward and it hooked onto the metal clip. There are two plastic tabs on either side of the cushion that just "tuck in" behind the bolsters. I didn't see any where for them to attach? Any way all is good again. I had visions of pulling the seat out and spending $$$ to repair

Have seen this on 997 cars, but not 991 cars.

Glad you got it fixed!

Happening to my car- going to take it in to the dealer and have them fix it- would rather have it on the record so if it continues to happen I can get a warranty repair / seat swap.

I think it's when the lumbar bolsters are fully inflated...they push the center section up and out just enough to cause it to unlatch. I've always been a huge fan of Porsche seats, both in design and function, so was surprised to see how chintzy they were under the surface.
