Low speed jerkiness in 991.2
I just got a 991.2. In low-speed conditions i.e. less than 15mph there feels like a jerkiness in the transmission. I know there is a more technical term that is the only way I can say it Is this normal? Can I get rid of this? |
I noticed the same after my tune...use more throttle to take off-that’s what worked for me. |
What trim do you have?
|
How many miles? I bought my 2019 new and it seemed a bit jerky at first but it loosened up along with the clutch and at about 1800 miles now it is fine.

what exactly do you mean "use more throttle to take off"
|
Bring the revs up a bit while taking off in first. |
Hmm... could just be slop in the motor mounts, so the engine is moving around a little bit back and forth due maybe hitting some natural frequency. Try a different gear for the same speeds so that the rpms are different.

Use sport mode, PDK in normal mode shifts way too early. If you are light on the throttle the shifts between first and second in low speed traffic can be a bit "jerky".
|
My PDK is a little clunky at low speeds. I think it’s perfectly normal. |
Turn off auto start/stop..
I bet so many others leave this on and experience the crappy feature where the car drops into neutral as soon as you let off the throttle.. Goes into "sail mode". Normal mode with auto start/stop on is very annoying unless you're actually trying to achieve maximum mpg.. It takes away from the drive. Hate it so much on the highway.. Normal mode with the function turned off is good. |
