Okay saw the pictures of the knee pads, I am sure they will be available and could be easily fitted via velcro on the 991.2

I first noticed them in a pic in the latest issue of Autoweek but if you Google 992 Interior you can see some pics, but here is one:

I still have still not found a damaged/blown late model airbag to play around with the silver trim ring and I am waiting to hear back from Exclusive Option to see if they can make me a Black leather cover for the trim ring. In the meantime I decided to wrap the trim ring since I recently found wrap from APA that is the perfect match to Miami Blue. I actually like it and while I am not thinking about doing the SC trim ring (I already made it Black) a Black leather cover may not look as good:

I only wish I had the talent and patience to do the crest! I purchased it and the rest of the set (wheel cap centers and hood crest) from Jim at Carrera East Studios. He sells some basic ones on ebay and search on "refinished Porsche crest"

No concern at all since the odds are having it deploy are low and I am pretty sure that the cover opens to the side for the bag to come out. Regardless, the look far exceeds any worry!

Well I think I have finally found a source, in China, that I can get just an airbag cover from, with the silver trim ring. It appears that it can be removed from the back and then painted Black (as on the 992), exterior color such as I plan to do, or just replace the one you have now that may be damaged. The more I buy the cheaper they will be so if you are interested please send me a PM and in a week or so I plan to place an order. Here is what it will look like:

Thanks, but there are lots of steering wheel customizers and a couple are on Rennlist. I have done a lot in my interior and the last thing is the Silver Trim Ring, which I need to wrap it better or have it painted. That is the only look I am after and when I get an idea stuck in my head there is not much of a chance of changing it!

The best I could come up with for an order of 10 comes out to $75 each, but that will include the cost of me shipping it to those that are interested; I rounded down as it is well worth it to me to finally get it! I should get them in 2-4 weeks and when they arrive I will post an update here. Needless to say since I want one only nine will be available for sale, minus those that have emailed me already.
