Default Trailer on a 911

Was driving to work today and following a car with a trailer. Wait, is that a 911? It is! Drive past and see it is a 991 GT3 (I think .2) headed to the track with tires on the trailer. Made me smile.

I've seen other cars with tire trailers but mostly Miatas and stripped down track cars. Never a 911.

This is great. So they use the tow hook hole behind the plate to attach to?

This is the guy/company that makes something similar. I heard it's hit or miss on getting a hold of them and actually having them deliver something.

Forget the tow hook hitch, unless you buy a very large liability policy. The only way to do this setup properly is with a hitch to the frame.

I have seen the setups both ways. I agree the best way is to actually fab a new bumper bar or mod the existing one. I have had a hitch on my Miata track car, and a few of my wagons that mounted between the bumper bar and the unibody without issues.
