So I decided to pass on this car. Was able to get the dealer down to about a $17k discount relative to a car w/ 47k fewer miles. That plus no warranty wasn’t really worth the risk.

Now I’m actually looking at a 991.1 C4S w/ 16k miles and better optioned for what I want.

To bad though, that graphite blue looks really great.

Just to close this thread out. Per my last post, I just couldn't get the math to work on the Graphite Blue 2017 C2 Cab w /58k miles. A $17k discount just isn't worth the risk and resale hit for that many miles. Instead, I just put the deposit down on a Midnight Blue Metallic 2014 C4S Cab. CPO w/ only 10k miles.

I miss out on all the little 991.2 upgrades (that steering wheel!) but that NA engine growl is intoxicating and I love the wide body look of the AWD's. Couldn't be happier w/ my choice. I'll update w/ pics in a new thread when she's delivered.

That can easily be swapped out. I did it on my 991.1. Here is a link to a post about it.

Are you talking about the Herb Chambers graphite blue cab in the Boston area?

Yes. That’s the one. It’s a really nice car and dealer was good to work with.

I took some detailed photos of some minor cosmetic blemishes and the original window sticker if you’re interested.

See what happens when you wait just a little bit longer

You will have an absolute blast with that combo - congrats!!

Congrats on the purchase.

As others have said, I would have wanted CPO as well as a $25k discount on that car compared with the other one with less miles. I am sure it was a highway commuter for someone, but that is still a lot of miles and unfortunately that car will take a hit when you go to resell.

Totally agree. I think my trigger happiness was compounded by the fact that I had already “lost out” on two cars in the weeks prior, weather was getting warm, etc.

Once I settled down and realized I was trying too hard to force a deal to happen, the rest eventually fell in place. Patience definitely paid off in this situation.

I bought mine last year from the Burlington store and it had 24k on it at the time and man, I thought that was a lot. 58k is a LOT of miles. I’d certainly have passed on that unless the deal was outrageous (and that wasn’t).

Incidentally, my 2017 was a hair over $110k MSRP and I paid about that money (from them!) last year with the above mentioned miles CPO, so they’re just way off on that number for some reason. Sounds like a much better deal on the car you went for though. Congrats!

Don't see that many 911’s in these parts...

Eh. It's all relative. Different cars with different engines, so a bit apples and oranges, but my '74 Targa shows 24k on the odometer, which has five digits, so it could be 124k or possibly 224k, nobody knows, but it runs like a scalded cat.

In the 996tt world there are several cars that have gone past the 600k mark. One of them they opened the engine at 600k and they said it looked almost new.

Congrats!!! The little upgrades are nice but I wouldn't want to start off with 58k miles that I didn't put on myself. You did well - it sounds like a great car!

I work from home, so no real commute. Figured I'd maybe average about 3-4K miles per year.

I've had my GTS for 44 days and have over 2700 miles on it.

Ok the deal is done. Dealer came to my house and picked up my trade this morning. It was a bittersweet goodbye for my Dinan Signature BMW M5 6-Spd (pics here).

Now driving a loaner Audi Q5 while I wait for my C4S to be delivered later this week. The anticipation is killing me!
