Mr. "Never" - me! - is taking my GTS cab on a drive to Death Valley tomorrow. Should be epic. That trip is equal parts drive for the sake of driving and drive to see a remote national park when it is not blazingly hot. Perhaps I will share a picture or two.

I know this is a 991 thread, but reading about what you guys are doing I had to put in my two cents worth. I would think all the threads would chime in on the fun these cars are. We usually have a destination but more often than not we take the long long way to get there which in our neck of the woods is back roads as 101 is the only main road there is here. Having had a 924, a 90’ C4, and now a 987.2 they all are great to drive.

Also think of reasons (excuses) to take a long drive.

Doing this tomorrow!

Going to a movie theater much farther away & having lunch at a restaurant near that theater.

I could easily do all that much closer to home.

Also extra trips to stores that could easily wait a few days.

Looking for twisty roads & planning trips just to drive them.
