Ok, so who's going to create the database and WhatsApp group so we can coordinate rides, even on short notice? If no one does by later in the week, perhaps I will.

I'd prefer to stick with email addresses and an email distribution list. Email already comes right to my phone, and I don't have WhatsApp installed (and don't really want it).

But if that's how everybody else communicates...

I have started to add a few folks to the whats app group some already have whatsapp, some will see an invite to install whats and and then I can add them. Some didn’t provide the correct cell number and text bounced.

it would be helpful if you created an whatsapp account and installed the app before I add you.

doing email distribution will be too much work and not every one checks emails on phones regularly.

happy to keep the whatsapp group going and this thread going

i rebelled against it too. Had to add it months ago for a customer. It’s a truly great method to keep in touch.

For this purpose, way better than email. At least I think
so. I do believe you will too.

I hear you, but I think for the moment, I'll stick to just checking this forum thread. I looked into WhatsApp and it seems that to use WhatsApp requires me to basically give out my cell phone number to anybody who might eventually join the WhatsApp group. I'm not prepared to do that at this time.

Hopefully nobody sees this as unfriendly because I'm really looking forward to meeting everybody. But I'm clinging to as much privacy as possible in this digital age.

There's a Porsche and Pooches event being hosted at Paul Miller Porsche in Parsippany. They are partnering with Eleventh Hour Rescue, Pleasnt Animal Shelter, North Star Pet Recuse, Wash N'Wiggle, Barkerstown Brew and PetValu for the event. Supposedly will be face painting and a bouncy house for kids.

Saturday, April 6th, 11am to 3pm.

I might go up for this, although I have no pup at the moment. I'd be taking an ex-GF who lost her dog recently.

Ha ha. It does look that way, doesn't it? But no, I'm actually avoiding serious relationships.

She would prefer we were still dating. I prefer to remain friends, more or less. We seem to get along a lot better this way.

I've come to the conclusion that, among my many, many, many other failings, I'm just not a good person with whom to be in a serious relationship. So I've taken it upon myself to save all potential future ex-Mrs. V999's out there from the tremendously awful experience.
