Nice! I'm going to try and match that with my GTS pro tune coming this month. You've got room for more power right? I'll be maxing the turbos.

Yes plenty of room to grow but your issue will be the 2.5 bar map sensor and the pdk sensor limited at 700nm..

So Hydra has bypassed that with a new map sensor and PDK relearn?

If you don't like the styling cues of a GTS then I think the S with the Powerkit is the way to go. The GTS is a better deal "apples to apples" if the configurator tells the truth, though.

My Targa GTS on order stickers at $164,240. The Targa S version of that car with the Powerkit stickers for $164,260 and that is on base wheels while my GTS has centerlocks.

I considered the Targa S with the Powerkit but I prefer the look of the GTS so I ordered that. I also think the GTS will hold a higher value over time vs. the S with the Powerkit. Just a guess but I believe that it will.

Production-wise, a lot fewer GTSs are produced than Carrera Ss. If you want the power kit, the GTS is the way to go unless you want the narrow-bodied S (which will no longer be an option with the 992). Yes, an S can be spec'd just like a GTS (minus the wide body) but it will cost you more than just buying the GTS. I read in another forum that there were fewer 991.2 GTSs produced than 991.2 GT3s. So from a rarity standpoint (if that matters to you), the GTS is the way to go rather than the S.

Recently, I went to the configurator to try to spec a 992 similar to my 991.1 GTS cab. Sticker on my 2016 cab was about $140,000. Sticker on the 992 was tens of thousands of dollar more - and it did not have the power kit. The little things add up - for instance, now the larger full leather steering wheel is extra. That was standard in my GTS. I ordered PDCC for my GTS. Now PDCC can only be had if you get rear axle steering as well. Not to mention that the base price of the S is higher than it was for the 991.1 and all of the options have gone up in price as well.

My preference was for a C2S with X51 PowerKit, but in a Weissach special edition more rare than a GTS, but at lower price. I hunted and deliberated for a year before buying my new Endurance Racing Edition. It's better equipped for my tastes than most GTS. I'm retired, so wanted as much as possible, but at a lower cost.
It was hard to find a hard loaded GTS with Premium Pkg Plus and Alcaterra delete, carbon fiber interior as well as all the performance options - Sport Pkg items plus PDCC & SPASM. And I wanted LED headlights. When I found this one,

Bingo!! I'm a happy camper.
The Endurance Racing decals are to commemorate Porsches many years of endurance racing. It was the icing on the cake for me, a Porsche owner since 1970 buying my 10th Porsche. Porsches endurance racing was the reason I bought my first Porsche and all the others all these 49 years.
73 of the Endurance Racing Edition were imported to the US of the 235 built. All have the same build sheet, but there were 3 colors. There are just a few for sale in the US, and they are priced at about C2S levels, inspite of their rarity.
BTW, after selling my S takeoff turbos, my net cost for the dealer-installed X51 PowerKit with full new car warranty was $3800 plus tax. I liked that!

Now it's an "Exclusive" Weissach Exclusive 😊

^^ I never liked the endurance edition much because of the stickers... BUT your car is super sexy and I see the appeal. That is one fine car!

rarity or not, I thought the reason they released the GTS was to get many/all of the most common performance options from the S at a small discount. It was never about rarity or resale values. It was about giving Porsche buyers a chance to get a slight discount on the most commonly spec'd options. Of course they messed that up with GTS specific features...

I’m not into “stickers” but they look really good on black. Nice sexy ride! Congrats.

Love ths side stripes and graphics, it is the stickers on the hood and roof that I can do without. ER editions available a year or so ago were really nicely equipped and offered at stupid discounts. Great move PCA on adding the Powerkit. Rockin car.

BTW, Suncoast is offering the 991.2 X51 PowerKit for $5995, and they quoted a buddy of mine $1000 for the install on his 991.2 S with SC, PASM and PSE. So $7000 + Tax for the X51 install, minus what you can sell your S take-off turbos for, and you get full factory warranty on the X51 PowerKit.
Just saying...

A few have removed the decals, usually the ones on top, and then are able to get PPF directly onto the paint, where it belongs. New decals can be reapplied later if desired.
In my case the dealer removed the top decals, I had full frontal PPF applied, then the dealer had a new set of decals from Porsche applied on top of the PPF, the way it should be on a street car.
Decal sets are available from Porsche Parts for something like $1200, and also available on eBay for $250 (non-OEM, for sure).
A GTS is the way to go, if the budget allows, but in my case I needed a well equipped 450Hp 991.2 at lower cost, and am very happy with this Porsche Endurance Racing Edition S with dealer installed X51 PowerKit. I can't think of a Porsche I'd rather have, if cost is considered. I'm retired and trying to stick to a budget...
