Doubt I'll trade my 991.2 Targa 4S for a 992. The only cars I drool over are ones I used to have and sold, like the 987 Spyder and Cayman R. To me simple is better, and lower power means you get to wring it more. I won't trade my GT4 for it either. I'm good.

I guess I should have probably asked how how many 991.1 owners were thinking of making the switch. For the 991.2 guys, I think you would be nuts, as the car is such a minimal upgrade from the already excellent and maybe better looking 991.2. I read something about better injectors and turbos with a little less lag but Porsche better be offering ride alongs with Mark Webber to be able to show folks the difference. I have a 991.1 GTS and if they give me a manual tranny with about 500hp I might consider writing the check . O/w I am considering a lifetime goal to scratch the itch of Ferrari ownership. Its really not a lot more now than a fully loaded new 911

I did the same thing for the exact reasons. Mine is being built this month.

You obviously have good taste😄.

How do you extend your warranty by 6 years? How much does that cost? Sorry, first time I've heard that's an option!

I'll most likely trade my 991.2 GTS for cab for a 992 Turbo S cab, and my 991.2 GT3 RS for a 992 GT3 RS. That'll give me a couple of years to enjoy both cars before moving on, sounds about right.

I have no plans of selling my fairly new 991.2 since I am not a fan of how the 992 looked in pictures; however, I saw one in person yesterday at the Werks in Amelia Island FL and it does look much better. I am curious to see how the manual's center console turns out but no matter how it looks it will not be enough to make the change.

The TTS is a big probability for me. Zero interest in the Carrera. Maybe a 992 GTS if it does a good enough job of sticking out from the regular Carrera.

Don't like how Porsche says "everyone gets the light bar and the widebody!" Really think the rear of the car needs a break in the center.

No manual, no buy,
I think I may keep the '19 C4 cab I just bought for a while.

Can be done through a dealer before the original warranty expires. Either through PCNA or third parties like Fidelity. Have not priced it yet. Previous threads have listed a wide variety of prices. I am expecting to pay around $8k for six more years, with an expected mileage on my car next year of less than 10k.

Search this site. There are several threads with a great deal of information.

Not me, either. I have a 991.1 PDK GTS cab for DD duties and an incoming 991.2 PTS GT3T for weekend fun. My 911 stable is complete - hopefully forever.

I took delivery of a 991.2 GTS a few weeks ago. I quite like the new design, but I'm nervous about the first version of a new gen and also want MT. Happy to keep the GTS for a few years then maybe trade it for a 992 GTS

Have a 991.2 GTS with a manual transmission. Love the car and I can only use a certain percentage of it on the road legally or otherwise. I like the exterior of the 992 but I'm averse to the digital gauges on the 992. Mine was custom ordered and I have no plans on trading for a 992 of any flavor. Now that the turbo only comes with PDK, this is my dream car.

991.2 was the biggest mid-cycle upgrade in Porsche history. In contrast, the 992 actually seems like a step down in several ways — looks, weight, size, overly techy, etc, so it’s a quick and easy pass for me.
