I just turned 30.. In high school I wanted to be any engineer. I wanted to build cars.. Mainly exotics. Big dreamer with a very creative mind.
When I got to college and saw the work ahead of me along with the $$$ I had to spend just to get into an ENTRY level job.. Yeah, quickly changed my mind... Not going to waste my precious time working for someone else whose going to live it up.
Dropped out before the first semester ended.. Freshman year 17 years young... Gave school another whirl and again dropped out after 2 months.. It's just not worth it. I enjoy working for myself a lot more. It's working!
I guess my generation in North America is the "instant gratification" type.. You don't become a top engineer building exotics over night and maybe one day I would if I kept at it. Just couldn't swallow the pill.
