Help to choose a car cover

So just how safe are these on soft Porsche paint? Perhaps I am over thinking this but it would seem the cover would only be a good idea after you wash the car. Once you drive it dirt, brake dust, etc will get on the paint, won’t use of the cover cause scratches at that point? Are you guys using these only to cover during the snow season?

I like this one and as it is heavier and a tad large it keeps all the dirt off.

2014 Porsche 911 3.4L in Agate Grey
I got the new medium size car cover which will fit well on an old 991.1 3.4L. I have a new 2019 991.2 GTS coming into the garage.
