Just to be clear: I prefer a data-driven approach. I've asked questions and not speculated on a cause. NM's problem could be many things including just being at the wrong end of the luck bell curve.

Oh, I'm making fun of all of us, myself included.

Interested to see how this turns out. I recall watching NM's videos where he managed to capture some of the electrical hiccups with his first 911. As a result I have him to thank for influencing me to be conservative with my dashcam install: I didn't hardwire it as I planned and instead I simply plugged it into the 12v socket in the footwell of the 911. I can't say that it made any difference, but the fact is that I haven't experienced any electrical gremlins. Actually, that goes for all three of the Porsches I've owned after a combined total of around 40k miles.

That was one reason I opted to just plug my dash cam into the footwell socket as well. No problems so far!

Nick's YouTube channel is fun. Amazing he got two bad Porsches in a row.

If true, I would think this is encouraging (but bad news for NM I guess) because it suggests there is a specific reason for all the electrical issues described and more importantly, something to avoid doing to in the future. But I wonder how did those mechanics determine the aftermarket stuff was the cause of the electrical issues, especially since there appears to be a delayed onset between installation and symptoms? And why did NM's techs not determine the same?

You’ve cast a wide net. Are your questions rhetorical? Or do you want answers? Do they have to be 991-specfic?

Didn't mean to be rhetorical at all, just curious from someone with little technical knowledge. Referring to the 991, specifically.

Nick is a great brand ambassador for Porsche. Perhaps PCNA should take back his 991.2 911 and give him a GT3 Touring allocation for his troubles.

I dunno. It seems statistically implausible to get two 911 lemons in a row, with essentially the same type of electrical gremlins.

As a fan of hookers and blow humor, I love the "help Tui fund her cocaine habit" bit at the end of the video. Almost snorted hot tea through my nose when I saw that part.

Anyway, thanks for posting the video.
