Default 991.2 Sport Mode / non-Sport Chrono

Is there a difference in Sport Mode on a non-Sport Chrono car and a car with Sport Chrono? Obviously the Sport Chrono gets you Sport+ but curious about regular Sport Mode specifically.

I have wondered the same albeit I am thinking they are the same, as long as you have PSE (?)

- Dynamic engine mounts
- Rev match
- Launch
- Not sure about mapping

I am not sure I'll get SC in my next one. The rev match is nice to have, but I can heel-toe so it isn't necessary. I don't race, so not sure how the dynamic engine mounts are a real benefit to me. I drive a stick, so launch control isn't included.

The answer to your question, is mostly No. I'm pretty sure is no difference (aside from hardware) when both cars (sport chrono and non-sport chrono) are in sport.

Sport mode in a non chrono package car behaves more aggressively than sport mode in a chrono package car.

It falls between sport and sport + on chrono cars.

Not sure how to explain it but Sport mode in a non chrono car makes the same noise as a chrono car in Sport + inside the cabin.. It happens when you're in high revs and let off the throttle. It's a winding down sound.

I'm talking about 991.2

My 991.2 Targa 4 Manual in Sport Mode does not rev match but does have a nice gurggle at high revs as your wind down. I went with the base 4 vs 4S / GTS as even with a Stage 1 ECU tune the 4 throws more RWHP to the wheels vs GTS (and having rev match takes some of the fun out of a manual).

Quick Reply: 991.2 Sport Mode / non-Sport Chrono
