Porsche 991.1 Carrera Long Tube Street Headers
Exiting news for anyone with a 991.1 that wants some added power/ sound without throwing a cell. Soul Performance just listed these on their site. I ordered a set for my GTS that has PSE. Literally just came in from garage from taking my stock headers off...I want to be ready haha. Cant wait for my new ones to arrive. Here is the the link for anyone who want info. I will do a review once I receive them and get them installed.

Very nice!
Some Q's:
How do these compare to the Fabspeed headers?
How do these compare to the FVD headers?
Any dyno charts and/or power increase figures?
Is this the new and improved design?

No clue on dyno numbers or comparisons to any of the other brands. I decided to go with Soul as they have great reviews, quality and customer service. Either way it will be an upgrade from the stock headers.

Thank you for choosing us and mentioning us!
As far as the design goes - you may have noticed we have mentioned we are updating our 991.1 exhaust suite. We did some testing with one design of catted header - but realized we could build something better. We're now using a long tube runner design which should yield more power and response. An updated catless header design will follow shortly after more testing. Our Valved Exhaust has undergone some changes as well. We've tested several designs to get the best possible delta of mild and wild while minimizing drone - in an aggressive system it's a challenge. It sounds amazing at full bore with it's race inspired nature, but we worked hard to incorporate helmholtz resonators which minimizes drone in the low RPM range and from 3-4k RPMs where the valve open transition (if the car is controlling the valves) occurs. We're tightening up the final prototype and should be ready to launch it in March!
We are working with several shops to get dyno numbers on different models and with different mods. If anyone is interested in purchasing a set with the intention to get dyno numbers, let us know - we'll cover the dyno costs. We're very interested in generating more third party, repeatable dyno results so everyone can get a great idea of real world gains.
It's been a pleasure working with the Porsche community and all the effort we put in is rewarded with great customers, excellent questions that drive us towards better products, and we can't wait to work with everyone and satisfy you with our updated 991.1 Carrera exhaust components! Expect more content from me soon! If you're interested in some exhaust components, John Gaydos is on hand to discuss and assist!

2. We will include two fobs to control the valves at your command. You can pair them with the factory HomeLink buttons to operate them as well.
3. Our headers mate to the factory center muffler. Our rear exhaust replaces the center muffler and incorporates the side mufflers when valves are closed.

These look very nice. I live in CA so I'm always worried about passing smog. From my understanding CA smog checks no longer do a sniff test and only plug in to look for codes. Additionally the first inspection at 6 years has been pushed out to 8. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion my kids now drive and just received the license renewal, which is now at 6 years, and there is no smog requirement. Anyway if these headers don't throw a code they could pass smog.

That’s great! How would you rate the removal of the old system/expected install of the new? I’m “OK” at turning a wrench but the idea of seized bolts (especially with anything as heat-cycle intense as exhaust components) always intimidates me...:/
Honestly I was worried about seized bolts as well. So I went and bought some PB Blaster penetrating oil. Sprayed all the nuts and header bolts. I did not spray the oxygen sensors. Waited a day and they literally came off with no problems. I had a couple spare 22ml wrenches, so I cut one in half and it help to get in and remove the oxygen sensors easier. Entire job with jacking the car up maybe took me 45 mins taking my Time. super easy.
