Default 2012. C2S. What is a good price?

This car looks nice to me -- no warranty remaining, 120k MSRP, 28k miles, 2 owner

Thinking of offering 60, but not sure if that's too high or low?

If you could get it for $60k that would be a steal IMHO. I would say the asking price is actually not far off if the description is accurate and maintenance is up to date. I bought ‘13 C2S about 8 months ago with 16k miles and $127k sticker with CPO for a fair bit more than than the ask on this one. I can tell you I didn’t get the deal of the century, but i got what I wanted at a price I was okay with.

Looks like a nice build—two tone leather, SPASM, SC, Bose, 14-ways. Missing PSE, but there are aftermarket options if you want.

So if you drive it, everything checks out and it is what you want, seems like nice car! Also the HFS thread has tons of info if you want to check that out! Good luck!

I see that the CarFax is clean and it's a "good" color combo and has SC, so $60k is exactly what I'd offer. I'd go as high as $62k, if it's extra clean with good tires. I love the color combo!

Good luck!

What is SC? I’ve seen that thrown around a couple of times and forget to ask.

Thanks for responses

I like the look of the default exhaust over PSE, so don't mind that it's missing.

I think I'll offer 60k firm. I saw the car this morning. It's in good shape. He's got service records from inception and has serviced annually since he bought it. It's not showroom perfect, and the front tires are close to needing replacement.

Anything to worry about it being a first year 2012?

I’m aging quicker than my age actually is. Thank you.

Good luck. Hope you get it. 60k would be a really good price.

I'd be stunned if you can get it for 60. I think more like 63/64 for the low miles and good records. Use the worn tires as negotiator.

This looks like a very similar spec to what I bought last year. I love my ventilated seats and this looks like it came with that option too. Without CPO, $60K would be a super deal in my opinion. With CPO, $60K seems too low. There is a lot of peace of mind that comes with someone that has excellent records. That's worth a lot. You can search on the site for typical issues. When I was doing my research the two main ones I read about were these - You will read about "change over valves" (COV) and the trim that separates near the top of the door trim. Open each door and look at it end-wise and if the trim is separating that's something you can negotiate on too if he has no CPO left. Some seem to get it covered even after warranty and others have had to pay out of pocket. On the COV's...from what I've read there is no way to predict if and when you might have an issue. I think the PDK has something on the order of 7 or 8 different COV's and any one of them could fail. Hope that helps. Good luck on your search.

FWIW well optioned 50k miles cars have been selling for $60k recently, not surprised that the seller didn’t take the offer.

Not surpised. I looked at the market cars.com you won’t find an S with that mileage for 60k especially with any CPO warranty remaining
ill give ya a hint, i was working a deal for trade in and they offered my 60k for me 29,000 2012 S.
private party will be more and I didn’t even counter them back yet....(dealership that is)

No way would he sell it to you for basic trade in price...

A guy I know listed his 2012 C2S with 12,000 miles (mint+++) with SPASM, 18-ways, PSE, SC+, but no full leather, for $67,500 and had a ton of interest.

Yours perhaps isn't quite as desirable: it is a cheaper build (his was $124K), and has more than 2x the miles, so I think $4500 less private party is a good price. Anything less is a VERY good price.

Yeah, a nice one on PCA (55,000 miles) with all performance options and full leather, plus Sport Design package (ducktail) sold for $59,500. It was a great car with all records and dealer maintained. I wish I could have afforded it!

OP, if you find your car that cheap, it might be that cheap for a reason. At $60k, either look for a higher mile car, look for a crappy build, or look for one with an accident
