Agreed. After first viewing the pic I totally didn't expect the backstory. Pleasant surprises like this make my day.
My Dad always wanted a Corvette but with 6 kids, station wagons were the reality. After we were all out of the house, my parents even went to Bowling Green, took the tour, and checked out many Corvettes. They loved them, but still couldn't justify a purchase.

Post of the month! Your mom is a hero, and this post was super inspirational. My wife and I hope to be driving Porsche's when we are in our 70's and beyond.

How many women do you think drive 911's? How many of those women are 70 and over? Your mom is rare indeed. Once she breaks it in, I hope we get to hear a story about her drag racing and beating some young punk . Better yet, maybe she should do a track day.
