Rear Glass distorted in my Carrera T

That is not normal. I have no distortion like that. Curious - can you feel ripples in the glass surface (Or can you see them under linear florescent lights)? Its either mechanical deformation, or when the glass was drawn, there were sight temperature variations in the sheet that lead to variable density (My bet is on the later). I've never seen a car with that level of distortion - something is amiss.
cheers!

I was going to say that mine did not have any "optical defects", BUT it looks like I was wrong!
After reviewing the video of my spoiler on Youtube, I changed the play speed to 0.25x and to my surprise, it looks like it is also adding some distortion.
Here's a link to the video:

It's stronger, but not as pure optically as glass. I'm sure sunlight and gasses have a play in this.. Annoying? Probably but this is normal. Seen it on other vehicles with lightweight glass.

That is definitely more distortion than normal. Have that looked at.
While I don't own a T, I've driven two and crap like that annoys me and I would have picked up on it.

Glass is glass. Its not going to be perfect. My C4S rear is pretty good, but there is a slight top center wave when looking through the rear...you really have to look for it. Nothing like the pic though... that looks pretty bad (or that's some funky brick work/ seriously wavy pavement).
I'd seen lots of variation in cars. Normally you 'look past' instead of focusing on the glass. I wouldn't accept the distortion in the pic... that would really bother me.

My guess is the lightweight glass is more affected by vibrations than the standard one. do you notice it when you're not driving?

I have the distortion as well, same whether the car is running or not. It’s enough of a distraction to be a safety issue. Has anyone had theirs replaced under warranty?

Porsche replaced my rear glass under warranty but the district service rep had to look at it and pre-approve the replacement before the dealership would do any work.
BTW my .2 3RS has the same Gorilla glass rear glass and doesn't have any distortion so if you see any (mine is pretty bad) be sure to get it replaced while car is still under warranty.
