If your daily dress is Sport pants and training shoes get the buckets.

If you wear a suit and tie make sure you do not get buckets.

I have buckets for sure but i have my car for weekends only.

I have 18-way, I had kevlar buckets on my track car.
in and out is still a little just a little challenging without hitting the door panel with my foot because of my track oriented seating positioning which I am used to.
i like the fact I can adjust bolsters etc.

Also depends on how long you’ll keep the T. If you’re keeping it to hold on to, getting in/out of the LWB at an advanced age might not be fun. Plenty of older 911 owners sell their cars because they find ingress/egress too difficult. LWB exacerbate the situation.

I ordered my T with LWB's and do not regret the decision. I dont use the back seats and have no need or use for that space. We have an SUV and a sedan for passengers and errands so I'm lucky to have the T just to cart my happy *** around. I like the driving experience with the buckets and I have figured out how to get in and out in a manner that only looks a little awkward and works very well for me! I have put over 5k miles in less than 4 months and have loved every minute of it! Personal experience and need play the biggest role so get what works for you. Either way you will love the car!

Ignore all the pressure on here to be an "enthusiast" and look cool and think about resale and get the LWB's.

The 18 ways are better for what you say you want.

Thanks for all your comments, everyone. The indecision fog of optioning a new Porsche is starting to clear.

I had the LWBs on my GT4, got the sport+ on the GT3. As you said, comfortable when in them, but not easy getting in and out, which made it a car that I didn't usually drive on days off running around town with lots of stop and go and in and out. I have been really happy with the GT3 seats and use the car for everything now.

My GTS is a DD. Has 4-ways with seat heaters and coolers. Use them all the time (yes, even in So Cal, we need seat warmers on occasion). I spec'd my Touring with the buckets but I would have gone with the 4-ways if I had planned on using the Touring as my DD. I would have wanted access to the back seat area for my golf clubs, etc. Also, I'd miss the seat warming/cooling function on my DD. Good problem to have - you can't go wrong either way.

I agree with you about ignoring the bucket hype, but I think the heavy 18-ways are not the way to go with the Carrera T. I went 4-ways for this reason, though I prefer the 4-ways over the 18-ways (and buckets, for that matteR) even if weight and money were equal.

Spot on, especially since you have LWBs in your spyder. You will not be disappointed in the 4 ways, they are fantastic.

For a daily driver I think comfort trumps everything. Why would you want the have to add the inconveniences of the LWBs several times a day? Yes, they look cool but that will wear off pretty quick while running errands. You already have safe parking spot, speed bumps, low front splitter, and low egress to deal with - why make it harder? Real experience here: If it weren't for these things I'd take my GT3 (with 18-ways) everywhere but instead I take my Macan (also with 18-ways) on most occasions.

I like the 4 way over 18 way because I like to slide the seat all the way back before getting out, and its just a simple quick process doing it manually

4WSS+ > 18-way for me.

Lighter and more comfortable, thanks to more padding and fewer motors.

YMMV.

Also, this:

Love that unintended advantage every day I use the car.
