For those that drive your 911 in snow...
I am looking for comments from members that run their 911's all year, and in snowy winter conditions. I live in the Cdn Prairies and always have had a rear wiper. This week's snow storm reminded how important it can be during a commute. I would like to know if anyone daily drives their 911 in winter conditions WITHOUT a rear wiper, and if so is it a hassle to be without one? I feel that it is a must have option for me but I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone else who might say otherwise. Thank you!

No rear wiper on mine either.
Not an issue here in Alberta.
I find any falling snow just blows off the back window due to aero. If it doesn’t you are driving to slow .
No issue with spray on the back window (unlike a truck or SUV) given the position and again the slope.
The window does have a defroster....but haven’t even needed to use that yet.
For what it’s worth I was driving today in -26*C.

Confirm. No rear wiper. No issues. But I do use the rear defrost and it works great. Heater is fantastic along with the heated steering wheel and seats.

Coat the rear glass with Aquapel.

Same as above. Rear wiper needed on wagons/hot hatches (due to road crud tossed up by rear wheels), not on sedans or 911s (or Caymans) IMHO.

Here's my Carrera T and I've been driving in one of the highest snowfall seasons in Ontario...no rear wiper and no rear defrost! Engine surprisingly heats the back window...

I drive in the snow and wish I had a rear wiper but it's not a deal breaker. Even with Rain-X the road spray makes it opaque after a while. Maybe it's the mag-chloride and salt mix they use here or it's just the heavy spray kicked up on the interstate.

Hmm..everyone else above seems to make me think it is not needed at all and that due to the rake of the window it never gets very dirty in winter driving. But then you post lol. Now I am back to being concerned!

Literally when my front windshield is caked with spray, the back looks like it was recently washed.
Dont overthink....check out how many sedans you see with a rear wiper....our 911s need one even less.
Heated steering wheel is super nice and the seats get super warm very quickly.
Literally just saw -33.5*C on the temp gauge and only needed the heated wheel to take the initial cold bite out of the wheel (was out and car was parked outside) and the heated seats on max for a few mins before I turned them off too.
Such an amazing piece of engineering!

I had a rear wiper in my last 911. Used it maybe twice. Personally, I like the look of it though. Quirky.
Drove my '70 Cuda year round in Buffalo, NY. If I could do that, certainly your 991 will be just fine with no wiper.
