The PCCB Debate Ended Once and for All
Here are two pictures of the same wheel on the same car on the same garage with the same camera under the same lighting conditions.
One picture is the car as delivered with 16 miles. One picture if the car after 973 miles of (dry weather) driving. No cleaning or washing or other wheel care of any kind. Can you tell which is which? Tick the PCCB box. Do it. End the brake dust nightmare. (and they stop the car pretty good, too). https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...9c517b04a9.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...53fd7e7f6b.jpg |
I love my PCCBs :)

I just couldn't do it, $9000 is just way too much. If they somehow could keep the entire vehicle clean, interior as well, then perhaps I'd consider parting with the $$$.
|
Wait......I only see one picture. Show us the dirty wheel one.

+1 PCCB = Prevents Crummy Crap on Brakes. DaveGee |
PCCB, lasts 200,000 miles on the street or 2,000 miles on the track. But one visit to the gravel and they are destroyed. The rest is just dust. The debate is far from over.
They also squeal like a stuck pig, but so do a lot of track pads. |

Love mine too!!! |
Very curious to check out the PSCB. Plan to spec them on my wife's Macan.
|
I wouldn't trade mine for anything else. The miles I drive they will last the life of the car.
|
When looking for a used car, PCCB's is always on the list. But, my concern is always going to be what the previous owner did with them. Did he track the car and potentially screw up the PCCB's. Also, I am pretty sure every time that I took the car in for service work at my dealer I would be checking them to make sure they didn't chip a rotor. So would I want them yes, would I also be very cautious yes.
|
I can clearly see the difference, but not because of brake dust.
Either way, PCCB's are great. Wish mine had them. |
It's one of those things that wasn't on my list. I purchased pre-owned with PCCB and now I love them! No more cleaning the wheels every couple of drives.
|
The only regret about ordering my .1GTS was not ticking the pccb box I drive my GTS down my driveway after a fresh wash and wheels are caked I drive my GT3 with pccb for the summer and I could eat off the wheels Never again with irons. Never! |
+1. No brake dust and stop on a dime. I had to get use to it as I would stop a distance from the crosswalk or car in front me plus no more wearing gloves to clean the wheels.
