I'm shopping for winter wheels for my 2019 Carrera T and found these:

Front: 20x8.5 ET50
Rear: 20x11 ET60

The car comes from the factory with:

Front: 20x8.5J ET49
Rear: 20x11.5 ET76

If I'm not mistaken, the rear wheel width is off by 1/2" and the offset is off by 17mm. Will these wheels work on my car? How can I learn more about this process so I don't have to keep asking the same question?

Any schooling would be appreciated.

Here's the summary: "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 22.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 9.7mm more than before."

It's my understanding that you ideally don't want winter wheels that stick out more than OEM. With the aggressive fitment used on the 991.2 rear wheels, I'd expect these will jut out past the fender edge by several mm. As to whether that is acceptable is your call of course. The fronts are fine.

The ones you found will not work.

Or, rather, those rears will not work on your car. Those are 991.1~ rear wheels, which will stick out, or "poke." Been there, done that—and my car looked like a bad dragster on two different text fits. I worried about my paint, and took a pass even though some experts said it would be fine. Didn't look very good, either.

991.1 NB rear wheels will not work on a 991.2 NB because Porsche moved the hubs out for the 991.2. Quite a bit, actually, as the stock setup really fills out the wells and puts the wheel nearly flush where the 991.1 rear wheels are pretty far inset. This seems to be still relatively unknown, as a number of wheel companies and sales outlets suggest there is no offset change to the 991.2...which is a bummer.

Front's are fine. Rears will stick out by ~1-1.5in.
Not ideal. Look for narrowbody wheels.

I'm starting to think that I'm better off staying with the Porsche factory spec winter wheel and tire set that Cyberbug posted above from Suncoast.

Looks like the least expensive forged wheel from HRE is $1200. So I'd be in it for $4800 already without tires. The HRE's sure are great looking though, and I have seen some HRE's discounted. If someone has a good source for HRE's, please let me know.

Don't need to be exact. You can go a little more aggressive offset without any problems.

I got HRE FF04s for my NB car. Also had the option of Vossen, BBS, OZ, Volk, and Enkei wheels.

Doesn't have to be exact, but you don't want to go to far from your stock parameters. Use the calculator once you have the wheel specs. Reach out to the manufacturer; their sales department will give you the right offset and wheels. Just specify narrow body and not wide body.

You could also go with 19s for the winter. On my 991.2 C2, I'm using Starke Design BC wheels from TireRack. They're shod with Pirelli Sottozero snows in the stock sizes.

They are also 8.5s and 11s with offsets of 52 in the front and 67 in the rear.

That means that the front tires are inset 0.08 inches more than stock and the rears stick 0.10 inches more than stock.

Those changes are pretty minor and the car looks and works well with them. They were also fairly cheap.

Because I have rear axle steering on my T, I think I'm limited to 20" wheels only. According to Porsche 19's are not an option.

Im sorry, for some reason I thought he had a 991.1 narrow body, which has an OEM rear wheel size of 20x11 ET70, so my answer to yes it fitting is due the fact that the ones he found were 20x11 ET60, which will only push out 10mm more than OEM, which the rear can handle. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
