991.1 Power Steering Plus - Should I get it???
I'm looking at Suncoast having a drop in price for the software and wondering for any feedback from the folks that have it. Is it worth it?
Thanks in advance!

No.
People actually pay to remove it.

Race Car
PSP is the most important and value-added option you could ever spec on your 911. It will add thousands to your resale value and turn your car into an instant collectible that future generations will greatly desire to own. No other option, NONE, will allow you to race in autocross using only your pinky finger on the weekends and help you navigate parking lots with ease on weekdays.
Okay, now seriously, I have had 3 991s and had PSP on all 3 (including my 991.2 GTS, which I ordered). I don't mind it at all.
Would I add it after the fact? Unless you feel that the car is simply brutal to maneuver at parking lot speeds, I would pass.

Had it on my 981 Cayman S and didn't know how bad it was until I got my 991 without it. It basically ruins low speed steering, I would highly avoid it. You could always get it programmed out by your dealer too.

Had it on a Macan loaner. Didn't like it at all. When I noticed it for the first time, it made me feel like I was driving an old Wrangler. Just felt unstable and almost wobbly.

No, unless u r a very small woman or disabled, or a man with an arm strength issues.
I'm around 74 167 lbs, 6'1" and can't imagine myself ever having a need for it. Maybe as I'm approaching 100...

Unless you are having trouble steering at slow speeds, I would not bother.
Funny story. I was sitting in my dealer’s managers’ office (they share an office) and was talking to the GM and the used car manager was talking to the other manager about how he had someone who wanted to buy a car but it needed to have PSP and I was like, “it’s available via techequipment, it’s just software, $300 or something.” Mind blown.

I have it. Have not driven a car without it. Parking the car is a very low effort thing, don't know if PSP is the reason. I don't see a problem with it, the steering on this car is magic.

If you get a chance to drive a car without let us know one day. A lot of people just repeat the negatives that others say about it but until you have driven with and without I do not see how someone can give an opinion. With that said I have driven both and I ordered my car without it but it was not that noticeable to me.
