Removing rear bumper on 2019 911 GTS
Does anyone have a DIY or any written procedures on how to remove the rear bumper on a 911 GTS (2019)? I was told that it is different than the procedures for a 991.1. Thank you.

Numerous places online...Google this and you find what you need: "remove 991.2 rear bumper"

Thanks. I had done that but most refer to 991.2 gt3 or 991.1. I was told that the 991.2 was different? That was why I was asking. Thanks

They're all removed the same way. I have both 991.1 tts and 991.2. Jack up the rear (no need to remove wheels) on both sides for easier access to the liners. Remove liner screws to loosen liners for access to hidden screw inside on either side of bumper, remove bottom screws from under bumper. Open engine lid, remove top air panel, loosen both fans, raise spoiler, remove tail lights, remove hidden screw behind tail lights. Remove top screws holding bumper above license plate, remove electrical connectors inside right tail light access, loosen bumper a bit to remove electrical connector left side of bumper near left tail light access. Pull bumper away from car.

Excellent! Thank you very much.

Cobb tuning has a pdf outlining the ECU removal. That's about 60% of what you need to do. The other 40% work involves undoing the fasteners located under in the wheel well.

I just started the rear bumper removal and came onto here to look for instructions. I can tell you for sure it is different on the .2 as I removed the rear bumper of my .1 C2S one time to pop a dent, as there's one bolt that is now hidden behind the rear liner on the .2 vs exposed on the .1. In lieu of what's around 7:20 mark of the video
, you need to loosen all the screws on the main wheel liner and then the rear liner to get to the screw in the pic below.

LOL, I just removed my 991.1 tts rear bumper to paint the lower diffuser, and I can swear the hidden screw was there on both sides. You don't need to remove the main wheel liner at all. Just remove three screws from the lower liner and you can pry open the liner to access the hidden screw holding the bumper. The process is exactly the same as the 991.2.
