Seriously - all that weight! ...and in the nose too where it will detract from the rear-engined "character" of the car! For shame.

Now if they've got a PTS carbon fiber version, that's another story :-)

cheers!

When buying a new car the Porsche liner is a perfect fit and a good seal the deal throw in item.

I must be in the minority though since after thinking about it why is a liner even useful? After owning my car a few months I do not see any reason why I need something else in the frunk.

There's several reasons. I'll offer up one. Have you ever seen an older modern 911? The carpet in the frunk is very-very thin. A well used, purposeful 911 will actually show carpet wear in the funk without a liner. Ok, I'll offer up two. I just like the finished look. Much like the lid liner.

This bin from Spartan's post is especially useful for AutoX and DE guys. Most of their essential stuff can be pre-packed, and then easily loaded and off-loaded for events. In fact, that's where I see many of these used at local events for the guys that drive, arrive, and then go back home. No trailering.

I had a '87 930 for a while and never had a use for one in that car. But I can see track-junkies finding it useful for dirty stuff.

A very nice car. The 930 didn't have the bare thin carpet like we do now. And the 930 did not have the deep-well frunk like modern 911s.

This is a cheap 30 gallon tub. Think it was from Target, but not sure because i was in a number of stores, looking for the largest that would fit.

As a passionate/ competitive water skier, my wet stuff goes into the Porsche frunk liner. When I get home from skiing, it’s a cinch to empty it out in seconds ... unfortunately, my C2S liner won’t work in the Targa but my dealer said they’d include a new one at delivery.

Has anyone tried it in the 4S trunk to see if it will fit?

Saw this thread on the way into the office this morning. It’s the perfect $8 solution.

Thanks OP!

If you ever spill a liquid in the frunk, it would be a mess with no liner or tub. I once had a newly purchased, 5 qt. Mobil 1 oil jug in the back of my Macan & it leaked! Luckily, I had a rubber Porsche, cargo liner so it was contained.

I didn't want to spend nearly $200 for the Porsche bin & was thinking about buying the WeatherTech liner for $110 but, still way overpriced, IMO.

This s/b perfect.

Also prefer to empty out my car whenever has to be left with service & lifting out a bin easier than one by one, bringing stuff out.
