Can you post a link to where you bought the Brembo carbon ceramic brake kit? All the links I find are no longer operational.

Please be aware that in order to upgrade from Red S / GTS brakes to PCCBs you need also to replace the brake pump.
This is the information I got from my AD.

Brake pump of PCCBs is different that normal brakes.

I hope someone can confirm my information.

As an FYI to you gents considering brake upgrades, we are getting ready to release our front and rear Essex Designed AP Racing Radi-CAL Brake Kit for the 991. Our 991 GT3 system is 33 lbs. lighter than the OEM 991 GT3 iron setup, and closer to the PCCB weight, eliminates the need for caliper removal to swap pads, has ventilated stainless pistons, anti-knockback springs, 84 vane J Hook discs...the list goes on. You can see tons of details, owner feedback, and on-car pics of our 991 GT3 offering in this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...t-finally.html

In terms of size, hardware, and price, our 991 system is going to be nearly identica to our 997, 981, and 718 setups which can be seen in the links below. Our front system is designed to be as big as one can comfortably fit inside an 18" wheel. There isn't anything else on the market remotely close in terms of performance, and this is as close as one can get to AP Racing Radi-CAL setup the 911 RSR won Le Mans with in 2018.

Front 997 Radi-CAL Brake Kit

Rear 997 Radi-CAL Brake Kit

Our engineering director is taking final measurements on the 991 this Friday, and we will be moving to production of these kits immediately thereafter.

Installed on a 991 GT3RS

Here they are on a 981S with a secret admirer.

Though as a point of interest the RSR uses Brembo disks

Do you have a UK dealer for the kits?

True, true, and Brembo owns AP Racing...which is also interesting.

Our Essex Designed kits are available through any authorized AP Racing distributor.
I would start a dialogue with Tim Phillips at Circuit Supplies, but you can always feel free to contact us with questions. Thanks!

That is correct. Our systems use iron discs, despite weighing a similar amount to the carbon discs. The big difference is that our spare iron discs will last longer when abused on track, and cost $399 each vs. a couple thousand each!

I think the OP wants Ceramics just to minimize brake dust.

GMP sells a Brembo kit. All it it's about a $25k upgrade. Other companies offer similar kits, Racing Brake is one of them. Seems a lot to spend just on brake dust, but not my money. Might be cheaper to just trade the car for one that has PCCB.

No, the master cylinder is different between a GT3 and non-GT3. It's not the rotor/caliper combo you choose that changes that.

The AP Radi-cal kit with some low dust ceramic pads might be a good option. Or just switch pads on your stock brakes to Centric Posi Quiets. Use them on our cayenne and on my last 991C2S and eliminated dust that way.

I will not trade my car just to get PCCBs, no matter how much brake dust I get! But ceramic pads as suggested will be worth trying first.

So it needs a brake bump change as the master cylinder is different right? In any case the cost of brake pump is around 500$ therefore not a big deal comparing to overall PCCB upgrade cost.

No. The master cylinder is the pump. The pedal is connected to a brake booster which is connected to the master cylinder. The master cylinder and the tank on top of it contains the hydraulic fluid which is "pumped" to the calipers which force a piston out which moves your pads to your rotor.
If you upgrade to PCCB, you don't have to change any of that.

If you buy a Carrera S with PCCB, you get a Carrera Master Cylinder.
If you buy a GT3 with iron, you get a GT3 master cylinder.

The feel is different, other than that I don't know why there is a difference.
