Default Hello. Moving to the 991 forum.

I'm moving from the 997 forum to this one with some nostalgia. While I had a great ownership experience with my '12 guards red 997.2 Targa 4, i am moving to a '19 991.2 Night Blue Metallic Targa 4S with PDK. I take delivery of the Targa 4S this coming week. The reasons for the change were important to me, and I feel good about the decision, but the 997.2 served me well and that forum was valuable in my ownership. I am confident this forum will be just as helpful. So, I say hello and respectfully ask for your patience as I grow comfortable in the seat of a great car.

Welcome from a recent former 997er. About a month ago I moved into a Targa 991.2 GTS from a 997GTS cab. Can't go wrong with either. It is arguably which is better looking. But to me, going from the 997.2 to the 991.2 is like going from analog to digital. Would love to have both. Enjoy!!

Congrats and welcome. Loved my 997 but the 991’s are pretty amazing cars.

Congrats! I'm on my 2nd and 3rd 991, and don't miss my 997 at all. I'm sure you'll love it!

Welcome Brooks! Similar to you, I recently moved over here from the 996 forum. Loved my 996 (still have it but will be selling it), but the 991 is a MAJOR step up!

Welcome to the 991 group! I am a former 993 and 997.2 owner and can tell you that I am head over heals with me new Carrera T. The 991.2 Targas are awesome! I do miss the 993, although strangely the 991.2 reminds me of it, but I actually don't miss the 997.2 at all -- this was a complete surprise to me, but it is what it is. Can't wait to see pics of your new ride!

The nightblue metallic Targa 4S is my dream car. That's my holy grail. Congrats, I'm jealous and will be slumming in my midnight blue metallic 997.

Can't wait to see the pics when you get it.

Welcome from a former 997TT owner. You will enjoy the quality info and the unusual antics and bickering that goes on here.
Good luck with the car. The 991 is a great model and a nice improvement over the 997. I am a big 997 fan and feel the 991 is a great move forward.

Congrats. Both cars sound really nice. I'm sure you won't miss your 997.2 once you drive your 991.2.

Default Lighten up!

Jeez guys, lighten up! I'm about to have a heart attack now... even without the positive comparisons to the 997. LoL!

I've been looking for something for about 6 months, and finally pulled the trigger. Now I gotta wait for truck delivery. Probably Thursday. Maybe Friday. It's killing me! Requested pictures coming soon as I sit in the seat. Thanks for the welcome notes.

Welcome to 991 ownership! I’m also a former 997 owner. While I loved the 997, the 991 is better in virtually every way. You’ll grow to love the 991 as much as you loved your 997. Congrats!
