License plate screws?
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...f526ec364.jpeg Hello - what screws did you use to attach the OEM front bracket to the front bumper, or the plate to the front bracket, or the rear plate?. Is there an OEM plate bracket for the rear? I just got 4 screws from the dealer |
That looks about right if you drilled holes on your bumper. I used the same screws but slightly longer for the rear as I added some foam around the plate to avoid direct contact with the rear bumper. no front plate
|
If you bought new, the 991.2 comes with a bracket and screws for the front bumper.
|
Try not to put the front plate on if you can. For the rear, let me look for the Rennlister,s solution, and I'll edit and add the link here.

Eastsideguy75, check these out for the rear plate:

This brackets eliminates screwing your front bumper (your wife will appreciate that). They make them for our cars as well
|
Thanks all. So, to confirm, the 4 screws from my picture go on the rear plate (if we are doing the simplest OEM install)? There are pre-drilled small holes in the rear.

Try to avoid a front plate. It's a pimple. If you have to do it go with something that does not require making holes in the bumper.
Rear plate not an issue even though there are good options to putting holes. Lex link to a fellow Rennlister who came up with a great way to avoid holes in the rear too. |
The screws you have there have a nice little ridge around the circumference of the head so that you can cover them with a nice little plastic cap to give it a finished look.
