Change the Carrera T 991.2 for the new 718 Spyder
I’m thinking about possibly switching up my Carrera T for the new Spyder if it will a NA 6 cyl, 6 speed, 4.0 l engine from GT3, hope it will have 9K redline

Oh boy. Here we go. Check this out: https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...t4-spyder.html and make sure to read all 1232 posts over 82 pages! No cheating now...
Enjoy. :corn: |
You do realize that a 718 Spyder with a GT3-derived 9k-reving NA flat-6 is going to cost $130-140k right? Porsche's are priced based upon a linear relationship with HP. (Yeah, there's a thread with a chart, etc.)
I haven't read Zeus993's thread link but I'll bet its full of folks who hope for the Sypder (and GT4) to have a 500hp 9k 4.0 for slightly more than the last GT4 cost. Not gonna happen. |

Realistically speaking, the last gen Spyder and GT4 came with the same 385hp engine in the same gen Clubsport GT4. The new Clubsport GT4 will have a 3.8L with 425hp@7500rpm. BUT, I just read the 3.8L NA engine won't meet emissions standards....

Actually trying to decide between the Spyder and the 911T. The Spyder will most likely have a 4.0 naturally aspirated motor but it will not be the GT3 motor. We should hopefully know all by Geneva.

Two completely different cars. I choose to drive my T over my 991.2 GT3 about 90% of the time. It's just way more enjoyable for road driving. As for the Spyder, I have no interest as I'm not into verts. Good luck.

^ I like the choice of colors! Awesome looking pair! |

This! Spyder = summer canyon carver & alpine serpentine eater, T = versatile sporty allrounder, comfy enough for eating long distance Autobahn km at high speeds yet sporty on winding B-roads.

And you have both for a little more than the cost of the new Spyder with ADM! Perfect combo.
