Maybe a mouse with a IED?

You might need to prep your insurance company for a Comp Claim. Good luck Friday.

LOL i just worry about something wrong with the car. If is just a freak accident (ie cig butt or something) The airbox cover is about $150 and and the screens in the airbox are like $22 so no biggie.

Default Looks Like You Sucked In Something On Fire

Noticed you live in Southern California. Did you happen to drive near any of those forest fires?

That is so strange. Glad the whole car did not end up in flames. Also subscribed.

nah i dont think so....

but here is the verdict from Mckenna.

there is nothing wrong with the car, nothing near that area would've or could've caused the burn. Exhaust is shield away from that....So it was deemed a road hazard. Probably somthing on the road that got kicked up and sucked into the intake opening (the ones on the bottom of the airbox) and started it all. So I might as well and go pickup a lotto ticket tonight to try my chances again LOL!

i looked at the price of the airbox cover which runs about $150 plus a few of the screen shields for $22 each. Not too bad

Great news. I would suggest that you install a fire extinguisher. I have installed them in every 911 variant that I have ever owned.
