Hi, want to know your opinion about to buy a 2018 911 GTS with the following optionals at $126k. The car has 11,400 miles it is in great condition, was the car of one of the managers in the dealer so never titled yet, not cpo but warranty up to Aug-2021

Thank you

Great build. It is a year old with nearly 12K miles. It would have likely have sold at 5% discount new so you are talking about a car that would have been about 140K new a year ago and now with 2019s out it would be less. The car is great. The price is not. Maybe 115 - 120K? Maybe the price is ok if they CPO so you get an extended warranty?

I agree with vitman, the build is nice and has a lot of great options but, with 12k miles and only 20k off sticker I think its priced too high.

This vehicle cannot be sold to you as cpo? That would make the deal better and have the lower the price to 118.

Perfect spec IMO.
I had one spec'd nearly identical w/ almost the same msrp.

Only thing I needed to do was add an exhaust when it got off the ship.

Agree with the others, there should be some additional wiggle room in price and ideally CPO it.

To get cpo the car has to be titled by the dealer first (it was never titled) and then make the cpo but they do not want to...for the costs..

I have to make the decision today...very difficult it has the color options wanted, the leather is in excellent condition..took a look to other ones but very difficult to compare with so much options.

Beautiful car! It does seem priced a little on the high end though as others have mentioned. But with so many options and combinations available it seems unlikely you will find this combo again any time soon. So if you really love it and it’s close to how you would spec your car new then I say go for it!

Price way too high. 12k Miles and almost 1.5 years out of warrantee. $115 would be a fair price all around. I bought my NEW 2017 Cab S last Jan for ~19% off MSRP. GL

I am more of a poker player and with the stock market being down, new model being released and a high mileage demo car on the lot, I would certainly play hard ball here.

Offer 115k or walk away. If they counter at 120k then I think you have a real decision to make. At 126k it is not worth that much based on blue book.
You have also lost 1 year of warranty.

I am not sure about this but they notified Porsche back in August that the car was being put into demo service or that it was sold because that is when the warranty began. This to me may allow it to be CPO'd but more importantly if they had punched it sold then they should be able to give a bigger discount. Problem today is that inventory at dealerships is very limited so far as 911s and to order a 992 you are looking at a very long time for delivery. In the end the question is if you really like the car, it is in a color you really like and you would have no regrets about anything on the car which is critical to you. Keeping that in mind is a couple of thousands of dollars really that important if you really love the car - probably not so in that case go for it.

They went from 129 k to 126k 15 off msrp. I maybe will pay no more than 122k but the thing is there is not too many car with this options, and other ones has marks or scratchs of use in seats and withbonly 4/5k miles....so there is my doubt of what to do...

Bill, you are asking us what we think and we all think 126 or even 122 is too much. You can pay over sticker if you like, but I suggest you show the Dealer this thread and tell him your offer is 115k today

Hey Dealer, if you are reading this...

Rennlist members get 5-9% off sticker on a regular basis, some even more. So your sticker price isnt really a fair reflection of what the car would have sold for BRAND NEW because everyone gets 5-9% off.
$148,560 is conservatively $140,000k and if you wanted to get aggressive at 9% its $135,000.

The car has 12,000 miles on it. Very few Porsche owners put 12k miles on their car annually. This is not a low mileage car, it is a HIGH mileage car based on miles driven since delivery.

Build Sheet shows 8/17/17. I dont know if thats the actual delivery date, but this is a lose/lose for Bill. If it was delivered on 8/17 then the car is already 1 1/2 years old and his warranty is shortened by 1 1/2 years.
If it was delivered 6 months later, lets say 2/18, then the car was driven HARD for many hours over 1200 miles per month for 10 months.

The new 992 has been announced and shipping now. This 991.2 is essentially a discontinued model. You have a pre owned, high mileage, discontinued demo car on the lot and you aren't discounting it nearly enough.
Yes, that is my opinion and its also my opinion that if you didn't drop the price to $115,000 that I would walk away from the purchase. Let it sit for a few more months and see if its worth more in March than in January..

BILL: If you are so in love with the car that you cant walk away from it then you are doomed. DO NOT get so enamored by it that you are blinded by it being a bad deal. Other cars come up literally every day and nearly all of them will have less miles on them. Be smart, walk out that door if you cant agree on a fair price..

115k all day. Anything else is over paying and of course your choice.

I don’t buy all of this ‘there are no cars, buy it quick’ thoughts. There are plenty of cars, used inventory arrives every single day. There are plenty cars around.

Swallow the rarity line and you will overpay.
