Seat Cover/Upholstery Replacement?
My drivers seat has a bit of a "shiny" look. Driver(s) sliding in and out. I'd like to rejuvenate it a bit to look like the passenger side (which looks new) and I am not sure what my options are.
What have people done to address this situation?
Thanks for any suggestions

I'm certain it is just a rebranded product, but Ferrari sells a 3 stage kit for treating the leather. (And they consider it part of a Major Service.). I am astonished how the first stage brings the leather back to such a natural even tone. I would look into a high quality leather treatment like this and make certain it is matched tot he type of leather used in the p-car...in my youth I liked to use lexol but found over time that it over saturates the leather making it kind of spongey. I have used the Ferrari product on multiple cars for over a decade and been happier each time it is applied.

Here you go. I have used it on 50 year old seats with amazing results. Pretty sure this is what is in the Ferrari kit.

I would recommend Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel (https://amzn.to/2RAgFwO) and either a boars hair brush or terry cloth towel. Microfiber towels do not have enough "bite" to remove oils deep down in the leather.
I wouldn't recommend this for a novice detailer, but if that doesn't work, but you could use a magic eraser with Ultima as a cleaner/lubricant. But use zero pressure and only a few passes. Melamine sponges have a grit of 3000-4000+ so it can cause damage if used too aggressively.

Best application is to apply and cover with a plastic trash bag overnight so it doesn't evaporate. Then let dry after removing the bag and buff with a new micro fiber. Have fun.

Nice. I am not in driving mode here in Chicago. I wait for roads to be salt-free, 40F or so so I have braking, and take a good run to get everything up to temp. Otherwise it has to sit. In colder temps, I know that it is more difficult for this solution to work its magic. The bagging thing is a good idea.
