Agency Power PDK Shifter Stalk review. Would i recommend it? It depends...
Hey folks. Just just received my Agency Power PDK Shift Stalk and thought i'd post a review. It places the shifter at the perfect height in relation to the steering wheel. And i love the looks. Just my opinion and i can see how others would hate the looks but I love the motorsport look. I have a couple minor caveats and one fairly major one.
Minor caveats:
-I wish the carbon weave was the same pattern at factory
-I wish it came with new springs or something to firm up the shifter mechanism. The longer shift lever makes it too easy to to pop back into automatic mode.
-The shift lock function doesn't work well and feels unintuitive
-The actuator pin rattles
-Looks expensive but doesn't feel as expensive
Major caveat:
-The shift **** is only held in place by one o-ring. Seems like a very half baked design. I could see how the shift **** would fly off in the heat of the moment. Imagine the roof of your house (the heaviest part of the structure) only held by an o-ring. It needs a metal collar and a couple allen screws. Shifter is still operable if the **** falls off. You'd have to stick your finger inside the CF tube to get into reverse and park.
I know it seems like a lot of minor caveats, but it's not that bad. Overall, i can forgive the minor caveats since this modification is easily reversible. I'll continue running it for the time being. I'll probably go to my local crafts store and use some felt to prevent the actuator pin from rattling.

Not my cuppa Tea. Do you dislike the paddles that much?
You will, however, be compensating for many upcoming 992 shifter 'nubs",

Looks very "hot rod" to me. Maybe NOT what most Porsche purchasers are expecting.
Pricey solution in search of a problem, IMO.

Hamster - what is that small rectangular box by the gear shifter on the driver side center console?
Also you should think about doing the the shifter boot mod for this shifter stalk.
