Default 991.1 Sport steering wheel

Hi,
Its my first time to own a 991, finally enjoying the experience!! Am also new to this forum, as a matter of fact first time to register in a forum.

I have a bought a 2013 991.1 ,and upgraded to the sport design steering wheel.
The new sport design steering wheel got installed, but to find out that the right hand stalk is missing; and now in endless discussions if I should have been informed earlier with its relevant cost, etc...(which is btw another 1200$ ontop of the approx 1200$ i have paid for the sport steering wheel alone and its installation).
Is it actually an option to install the steering wheel alone without the lever, and lose any control on the multifunction screen? This is what the agency is claiming as an excuse of not informing me earlier of the other parts that should get installed(the stalk and a new control unit - as they are claiming)

I understand that I will obviously lose the multifunction buttons as they dont exist in the sport steering wheel, but conpletely lose the control on the screen, and it is a viable option from porsche, this is very surprising for me!!
hope someone can help me better understand on this topic.

thank you guys in advance.

What are you asking? I don't see a question in there.
Clearly the car was equipped with a the original mulitifunction steering wheel. In that configuration, the steering column stalk isn't needed, so it's not installed. When you go to the Sport Design wheel, you do need the stalk to control the multifunction screen. There is so much functionality in there, I can't imagine not being able to control it.
I'm shocked whoever installed your wheel didn't explain this to you.

Oel -

I am surprised as well that whomever (who?) you bought the wheel from did not explain this. I would return the wheel and insist on a full credit even if already installed and go back to the multifunction wheel. You can always add the paddles with Techart replacement of the push buttons. This is what I did and absolutely love having the multifunction wheel with all the convenience and the paddles that truly transform the driving experience. Look at my earlier post on this topic:

Wondering if you can offer some input on my challenge. I have a 2013 991.1 with standard PDK steering wheel and on-board/LCD computer controlled by stalk on right side of steering column. I recently bought a used Carbon Fiber PDK sport multifunction & heated steering wheel and was told I would additional need a new clock spring/control module to support the multifunction/heated steering wheel, so I got that and had my Porsche specialist fit it all. After fitting the cruise control and original On-Board computer stalk were not working along with the PDK buttons and the M/F controls/ heating. They said it needs enabling at the Porsche dealer. So to my local Porsche dealer I have been and asked them to enable the new steering wheel. After 30 mins they got the PDK, cruise and heating to work, however, they cannot get the M/F controls on the steering wheel to control the radio/PCM functions or the small dash LCD On-Board computer, they said it needs a code because the car cannot distinguish between the original on-board control stalk or the newly fitted steering wheel. My question is, who has the Code(s) to enable these functions? I thought Porsche could do it, it's their OEM! Any guidance/advice would be appreciated!
